N-Ext 28-0-0 N-Charge™ Enhanced Liquid Nitrogen is literally nitrogen driving the bus! Some would use the term “quick release,” and they’d be wrong. We need our bus driver to be immediately available, but there is no need to be quick about it. Foliar absorption takes place in about 5 minutes, and then you water the rest in. It's an excellent choice for the fall nitrogen blitz you’re gearing up for!
Product Description:
N-Charge contains immediately available nitrogen, which means you get foliar absorption and root uptake, all from a single bottle. You're boosting the lawn from up, down, and all around. Results will be within hours, or even faster!
It’s best to apply N-Charge with a quality backpack sprayer. Spray the lawn, let it sit for 5 minutes, then water it all in with ½” of irrigation. All of the foliar absorption happens within 5 minutes, and then you water it in. The best time to use this is in the fall or spring when it’s cooler and more overcast.
Cool-Season Lawns:
N-Charge is perfect for your fall nitrogen blitz on cool-season lawns. You will want to apply at 16oz/1,000 every two weeks in fall. This application rate gives you .4 lbs/N/1,000, so just under 1/2 pound of bus driving nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft.
Hit it every two weeks, and then when soil temps fall below 40F, apply a final application of N-Charge as your winterizer, and you’re done.
Your lawn will be deep, dark green all fall if you blitz it with the N-Charge!
Warm-Season Lawns:
If you are still mowing your warm-season lawn at least once per week in the fall, you can apply the 28-0-0 Greene Charge and see a nice green-up quickly as well. We do not recommend a nitrogen blitz in fall time for warm-season turf, but you can do it in spring and heading into the fall.

Application Information:
N-Charge works best when applied with a backpack/pump sprayer; however, you can use a hose-end sprayer. You just won’t get the benefit of the foliar absorption, so the green up may take 24 hours or so, depending upon how fast your lawn is growing. Cool-weather slows down root uptake, thus delaying the results. Either way, it’s all going to get in, so if you prefer a hose-end sprayer, all good. Here is a video with some hose-end sprayer instructions.
