This product is 1 Gallon of 0-0-2 MicroGreene micronutrient supplement with sea kelp and humic acid - for use in lawns and landscapes.

We have been including 0-0-2 MicroGreene inside the popular Bio-Stimulant Pack for a few years now. Over that time, we have gotten many requests to carry these products in single gallon offerings. Folks who run out of one but not the others, in this case, MicroGreene, would like to just buy a single. This can be a great option for folks with small lawns too.

We have worked hard to make this option available, and so have our partners at GCF investing in equipment that allows a better seal on the bottle because single gallons will get tossed around much more handily then did the 4 or 5 gallon boxes so a better seal was needed. That is now in place so we feel better about your single gallon getting to you intact!

NOTE: If you would like to purchase 4 gallons you will save money overall due to shipping costs. There are higher price breaks with FedEx and UPS when shipping heavier items in a single box. We want to be up front about that and we break that math down for you at the bottom of this description.

Single gallons of MicroGreene do come with 1 free sticker included!

More on MicroGreene here:

0-0-2 MicroGreene™ Liquid Fertilizer is engineered for two purposes:

- Micronutrient product to add to 18-0-1 GreenePunch™ Lawn Fertilizer or other Nitrogenous fertilizers when micronutrient deficiencies are present or soil remediation is required

- Complete product for turfgrass application during fertilizer ordinance “blackout” periods where local regulations prohibit the application of Nitrogen and Phosphorous fertilizers. (12oz/1,000 shows a nice color change in the lawn - steal blue!)

Lawns need Macronutrients and Micronutrients for healthy growth. If you look at a bag of fertilizer, you will see 3 numbers listed there. Something like 24-0-6 or 12-12-12. These represent macronutrients and are what we usually focus on when we make an application.

The thing is, the micronutrients are just as important. The only difference is they are needed in lesser amounts. As an example, iron (a micronutrient) is just as important as Nitrogen (a macronutrient). Grass plants just need a lot less iron to be fulfilled. But they need both.

That’s where the MicroGreene comes in.

MicroGreene gives us Magnesium, Sulfur, Iron, Manganese, and Zinc and is the perfect micro stack to hit all of your bases. It's also got some potassium (macronutrient) in the mix which helps with overall plant health.

Bio-Stimulants Included

Additionally, MicroGreene micronutrient concentrate is juiced with chelating bio-stimulant humic acid (as a carbon source) and 2% sea kelp to stimulate healthy rooting and feed the microbes.

Typical applications of MicroGreene are 6oz/1,000 sq ft, but you can apply up to 12oz/1,000 if you are looking for a visual result from the application. If you have a soil test that shows you are low on the "minors" or micronutrients, MicroGreene is an excellent choice to balance things out.

Apply in between your regular fertilizing applications to extend the color pop!

We recommend you apply MicroGreene with a pump/battery sprayer. Water it in with 1/2" of irrigation or rainfall after you apply so it gets into the soil.

Typically MicroGreene is applied at 6oz/1000 sq ft. If you stick to that rate, coverage will be:

1 gallon = 128 oz

2.5 gallons = 320 oz

5 gallons = 640 oz

At the app rate of 6 oz/1,000 sq ft, you will get:

21,333 sq ft of coverage from a single gallon
53,333 sq ft of coverage from a 2.5-gallon jug
85,332 sq ft of coverage from 4 gallons
106,666 sq ft of coverage from the full 5 gallons

I put this math in here because oftentimes people think "these products are expensive." But let me break it down for you:

Even if you just buy the single gallon by itself, you will pay $37.99 which includes shipping. This breaks down to $.30 per ounce. Since the application rate is 6oz/1,000 sq ft this means the cost per 1,000 sq ft is $1.80.

If you have a 5,000 sq ft lawn, each application you do will cost you $9. If you have a 10,000 sq ft lawn, the cost of each application you do will be $18.

Not too bad is it?

It's even cheaper if you buy in increments of 4 gallons so if you are into saving money, buy 4 gallons of MicroGreene or add a gallon along with other products in the Build-a-Box Kit.

Pricing Comparison

4 Gallons of 0-0-2 MicroGreene costs $117 - $29.25/gallon (includes shipping)

1 gallon of MicroGreene (this listing) costs $37.99 (includes shipping)

This is due to shipping rates. Carriers charge less "per pound" for heavier weights in a single box compared to lesser weights in a single box. To put it simply, shipping is on average cheaper for 4 gallons than for a single gallon by weight.

So if you want the best value, get Greene County products via the 4 "Build-a-Box" feature.

If you only need one gallon, you are still getting MASSIVE VALUE!

Better Value Than Competitors

There are other suppliers offering liquid fertilizer and nutritional products charging $55-$65 for a single gallon of their formulation. MicroGreene is a full formed product that contains micros, sea kelp AND humic acid all in the mix!
